WURSTEL is an ongoing exploration of the intersection between the nostalgia of food, memory, and belonging. This time, directly from the designer’s own life:
“I now have a small family. We move between South Africa and Germany, blending cultures, languages — and meals. At the centre of it all: the sausage. In South Africa, it’s the coiled Boerewors. In Germany, it’s the straight Frankfurter sausage. Both are staples at our family table. Thank you, Wurstel.”

The collection consists of EXTRAWURSTEL, a small bench and WURSTEL & SPAGHETTI, a shelving system — evoking the same warm satisfaction as a fresh sausage on a fork, just before the first bite. The silhouette of the bench is cheeky and instantly recognisable. Beneath the playful shape lies a piece built for true comfort. Sink into plush clouds of pink silk, gently cradled by a bold red metal frame. The shelving system applies the same aesthetic language in a vertical composition. Four individual shelves are threaded with silky bright yellow spaghetti and a five-metre-long sausage that weaves through the structure.
