Superstudio
at MDW 2027
For 26 years, Superstudio has been a key player in Milan Design Week with an original project that showcases international contemporary design and its many transformations.
The new Superstudio Design 2026 marked a turning point and presented a sprawling map spanning Milan from Tortona to Barona and on to Bovisa, bringing together three iconic venues, 70 projects, 91 brands and 88 designers from 19 countries in a global celebration of creativity, art and innovation.
An evolution of the Superdesign Show, the 2026 project embarked on a path of renewal that broadened perspectives and ambitions, tripling not only the exhibition spaces but also the areas of research that define the project's identity and its vision for the future of the city.

2000
THE BEGINNING
Superstudio Più opens in the heart of the Tortona District, the first major design project based on the idea of a widespread Fuorisalone.
2009
TEMPORARY MUSEUM
A new format is born, transforming Superstudio into a “temporary museum” dedicated to innovation and research with artistic mise-en-scène.
2015
SUPERDESIGN SHOW
The new authorial format makes its debut, changing the rules of Fuorisalone and establishing Superstudio on an international level.
2021
MAXI AND THE MULTIMEDIAL EDITION
Opening of Superstudio Maxi and experimentation with performances, video, and new digital languages.
2025
UNFORGETTABLE
Superdesign Show presents “Unforgettable,” an exhibition celebrating 25 years of Superstudio Più and honoring the leading figures in the history of Italian design.
2026
SUPERSTUDIO DESIGN
The opening of Superstudio Design, the event that marked the beginning of a new phase in the history of Superstudio Events.

Gisella Borioli
Strategic Advisor
A key figure on the Milanese scene, she weaves together relationships between art, design, fashion, and entertainment. In 1983, together with Flavio Lucchini, she opened Superstudio Group, launching a successful venture that continues to this day.
Giulio Cappellini
Art Director
Architect, designer, and art director, he has also been recognized as a talent scout for young professionals. He was named a trendsetter in fashion and design by Time magazine and received the Compasso d'Oro Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.
Laura Vella
Head of Superstudio Design
Architect and PhD, she works in the world of Milan Design Week, collaborating on the development of major projects and installations by leading names, from Asif Khan to Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Since 2022, she has been Project Manager of Superstudio for MDW.
