XY is an installation that transforms the austere logic of the Cartesian plane into a suspended field of light. No longer confined to measurement, the x- and y- axes unfold as coordinates of a reimagined cosmos, an intricate dialogue between light and shadow. Luminous trajectories traverse and interlace the planes, generating shifting constellations that invite the viewer into a perceptual drift. The sculpture continually redefines itself, changing in depth, density, and rhythm according to the observer’s position. Technically, the work is composed of an electro-welded metal mesh structure animated by low-voltage LED filaments. The rigid grid becomes a receptive framework for light, which both inhabits and dematerializes it, dissolving structure into atmosphere.
