Giorgio Bena

Limbo marks a new chapter in Giorgio Bena’s design path. Overcoming the "total metal" aesthetic of his debut works, Limbo introduces a dialogue between metal and wood, while maintaining his signature focus on technical and structural elements. Using thin aluminum blades and wooden components to create structures stripped of excess mass, the designer expands on the themes of his earlier projects. The desire to forge a distinctive, character-driven language, defined by clear design constraints that create seamless continuity between different pieces, keeps being the core of his work. Central to his style is the decision to leave structural joints and connections fully exposed, elevating them to the protagonists of each piece. Limbo embraces the void, seeking to fill it with purposeful design rather than storytelling driven by a passion for form
