For Milan Design Week 2026, designer Francesca Fossati presents fili d'ANIMA, a modular rug collection created in collaboration with the Su Marmuri Textile Cooperative from Ulassai, Sardinia. The project brings together contemporary design research and traditional craftsmanship, highlighting the ancient Sardinian Pibiones weaving technique through a flexible, reconfigurable modular system. Each rug is composed of 50x50 cm pure cotton modules that can be combines to adapt a different spaces and layouts. Fili d'ANIMA reinterprets the rug as a dynamic element, designed to evolve and interact with contemporary living. The collection expresses a refined balance between memory, material and experimentation, reaffirming craftsmanship as an authentic expression of Made in Italy.
