Blueloop is a flagship textile initiative co-created with CBI(www.cbi.eu) – Transforming Trade Together, and part of the Tunisian Textile Green Transition (TTGT) supported by the Dutch government and #FTTH. The project explores the transformation of denim waste into refined textile objects, focusing on the reuse of leftover fabrics and second-choice materials. Through a structured recycling process, these materials are reinterpreted using a combination of traditional Tunisian weaving and contemporary industrial treatments like laser finishing. Handcrafted weaving is enhanced by washing processes and embroidery, creating a dialogue between heritage and innovation. By integrating 90% water recycling and 100% renewable electricity, the collection (including carpets and cushions) meets strict EU sustainability standards (ESPR). Blueloop reflects a premium approach to circular production, where waste is elevated into design. It serves as a scalable model for industrial responsibility, ensuring the Tunisian textile industry remains a sustainable partner for the European market.
